    Calculating size of multiple files

    Hello everybody,

I'm on MAC. My question is very simple, I know how, when I select multiple folders, I can calculate their size without taking my calculator?

For when I select 5-6 records and I do Apple + I, it opens windows of 5-6 properties for each folder.

And in the Windows File Explorer nothing tells me the overall size.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello,

Select multiple files, then Apple - Alt - i instead of the apple - I. Note that the Get Info window that appears after pressing Command-Option-I is dynamic, unlike the usual info. It changes depending on what file (s) you selected.

That only applies with the CMD+I. CMD+Option+I is different . I have been looking for this feature forever. So thank you. I should add that when you do that, it takes a little time for it to calculate the size, you'll say, "compute" in the window. Maybe 15-30 seconds.

    Great tip. Thank you again.

Oh great, I asked myself also

To see what I mean, click on a file and press Command + Option + I. You can also right-click, hold down the Option key and select Show Inspector.

For me the keyboard shortcut is not active.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do it with the tray, but you can open the "Inspector" when you select multiple files so it will get an info window with the total size. locate Multiple File Get Info or something similar in the File menu when you select multiple items.
