Apple Hardware Test Error Code 4sns

    Hello,

I have a powerbook g3. When I ran a hardware test, I got the error got memory error code is 4SNS/1/40000000:TGOD-86.500. I have a 512 MB of RAM. I searched Apple's web site and in fact the reference to a document that sounded like a list of error codes for HBP, but his access was restricted and could not see the file. Does anyone know what the code means?

The failure is an error 4SNS/x/x/x of the logic board. The important part is the SNS '4 ', indicating a problem with a sensor on the logic board. You can try a power manager reset, and run the test again. The power manager reset will be slightly different for each model of Mac's most recent models can be reset by unplugging everything and removing the battery in a laptop. Press the power switch for 5 seconds or less. Leave unplugged network cable, and external hardware other than a mouse and keyboard, it should be connected. If you receive 4SNS failure, then the problem is with motherboard .

When run reset SMU and is about to start the machine after it has set off for quite some time, hold down the Shift key and hold the power button until you hear the sound of the implementation. Once the gray Apple and progress indicator appears, release the Shift key. Initially it will probably take much longer than usual. 15 to 25 minutes is not uncommon. Then the problem might be with your fan.

Apple Hardware Test (AHT) may incorrectly report that the computer has more VRAM really there. For example, hypertension may report 256MB of VRAM for a team that has only 128 MB of VRAM. You can use Apple System Profiler to get the exact configuration of VRAM. To check the configuration of VRAM provides:

    1. Restart the computer from the hard drive.
    2. Open Apple System Profiler / Software / Utilities /.
    3. In hardware and Graphics / Displays, see VRAM (total) for the correct configuration.

Do you boot from your installation disk and run disk utilities. The heat sensor to operate the machine shouldn't wrong. It is possible that you installed in the wrong place. An accident HD or corrupt the file system can operate the machine wrongly. This Apple Hardware Error Codes are not on Apple's support site, it might be available to Apple Certified techs and repair centers but they

This might be a battery problem. To calibrate the battery in your MacBook or MacBook Pro to keep the battery functioning at maximum capacity. First connect the adapter and charges the battery until the adapter and the menu bar indicating it is fully charged, simmer 2 hours (you can keep using it while connected). Then, with the computer on, unplug the adapter and use the computer until you dial a low load (remember to save your work before running out the load), still using the computer until it automatically goes to mode hibernation. Let stand at least 5 hours. Then plug the adapter and let the battery is fully charged.
