| How to add USB Controller in VMware
Hi all, I am using VMware for virtual machine in my PC. Basically it is targeted at server, desktop and embedded use I need to implements a virtual USB controller and allows me to connect arbitrary USB devices to your virtual machines without having to install device specific drivers on the host. Please send some advice that how to add USB Controller in VMware. Thanks in advance. |

| How to add USB Controller in VMware
You need to do following steps for adding a USB Controller # Open the virtual machine settings editor and choose VM > Settings. # Click Add to create the New Hardware Wizard. # Click to Next button. The Hardware Type screen appears. # Select USB Controller and then click Next. # If you don't desire new USB devices to be automatically linked to the virtual machine, clear the check box. # Click Finish to install the virtual USB controller # Then click OK to save the configuration and close the virtual machine settings editor. If you need to adding a USB Controller from the Management Interface , Do the following interface. # On the Hardware page, click Add Device. The Add Device Wizard found. # Click USB Controller. The Universal Serial Bus page come into view. # To connect USB devices to this virtual machine when the virtual machine is chosen in the cheer up, check the check box. # Click OK to add the USB controller. Basically the USB controller is disabled by defaulting in all virtual machines formed with GSX Server. If you wish for to add a USB controller to the virtual machine's configuration, total the following steps with the virtual machine powered off. You can put in the device from the console or from the management interface. The steps are already discussed in reply. Best of luck. |

| How to add USB Controller in VMware
When a virtual machine is running, its window is the vigorous window and a USB device is plug up keen on the host computer, the device automatically attach to the guest in its place of the host. This auto connect feature can be disable in the USB Controller panel of the virtual machine settings editor by VM > Settings. If all of the virtual machine's USB ports are already engaged when it is annoying to connect automatically to a new device, a dialog box gives you a choice. You can moreover disconnect one of the existing USB devices to free its port, otherwise ignore the new device, and allow the device to connect to the host. If you found any issue reply. |

If you want to Using USB with a Windows Host , Then a particular USB device is connected to a virtual machine for the first time, the host notice it as a new machine named VMware USB Device and installs the suitable VMware driver. On a Windows Server 2003 host, User confirmation is necessary in the Found New Hardware Wizard. choose the default action — Install the software automatically. Once the software is installed, the guest operating system notice the USB device and look for for a suitable driver. Best of luck. |
