Can i install Windows 7 Ultimate in my Compaq desktop

I am having the Compaq desktop computer system i want to know that can i install the Windows 7 Ultimate Operating System in this desktop. I am currently using the Windows Vista Ultimate 32Bit. My system configuration is as follows.

• 22" LCD Monitor
• Intel Core 2 duo E7500 processor
• 2GB Ram
• 500GB hard drive storage capacity
• Onboard graphic card(may be 256MB)
• DVD RAM

If not then give all the requirements for the Windows 7 ultimate edition.

You are having the Compaq desktop which has the Windows Vista Ultimate operating system installed on it and you want to upgrade the operating system of your computer system from the Windows Vista to the Windows 7 ultimate edition. I think if your computer is properly working with the Windows Vista ultimate operating system then it will work properly with the Windows 7 Ultimate operating system also. So i dont think that there is any problem in installing the Windows 7 Ultimate in your Compaq desktop.

I think you can easily install and use the Windows 7 Ultimate edition of the Windows 7 operating system in your Compaq desktop computer system. You computer system has the 2GB RAM and the Core 2 Duo processor which is the basic requirements for the Windows 7 operating system. I think the best way to check that your desktop or the laptop system can run the Windows 7 Operating System or not is to run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor softawre. Microsoft provides this software for checking the you can upgrade to the Windows 7 operating system or not. You can also download and run this utility for knowing that your Compaq desktop can be upgraded to the Windows 7 operating system or not.

You can download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor software from the website of the Microsoft. This is totally free of cost. Run this wizard and complete this. After this you will be shown the full summary of this test. If some of the hardware in this test are shown in the red colored mark then you will have to check that they are compatible with the Windows 7 or not and the driver software for those hardwares are available for Windows 7 operating system or not. If they are compatible and the driver software is also available for the Windows 7 OS then you can install the Windows 7 Ultimate in your computer system.

Before making any attempts at upgrading your Windows operating sytem; you should first backup all of your important data!
