HandBrake 0.9.4 not functioning in Windows 7

HI! I have been using desktop machine with Windows 7 installed as the operating system in it. I have recently downloaded HandBrake 0.9.4 application that converts DVD to MPEG-4. But the problem is that I am not able to perform the same under Windows 7. It used to work under Windows Xp. It worked fine for someday with my current operating system but not now. Please help me out. Thank you.

The application that you have downloaded may not be proper that is it might be appended with certain issues. You need to check out for the thing that it is able to work out well with the same. Try to reinstall the application by uninstalling it. You need to make the things to work out for you by following the steps as follows:

1) Go to the start menu.
2) Choose the control panel option.
3) Now choose add/remove programs and hit enter.
4) Choose the application that needs to removed.
5) Click on remove button after it has been done.
6) Restart the system and then install the application again.

I have found that when using handbrake unsder windows 7, setting the following files in the handbrake install folder to run in compatibility mode for win xp sp3 fixed the problem for me:

Handbrake.exe
HandBrakeCLI.exe

Go to the file properties and select the "compatibility" tab. The setting is there.
