    Thumb rule to choosing a good password

    There are some simple rules and suggestion that would be beneficial to choose a good password :

    1. The password length should be atleast eight characters long(minimum).
    2. Always Try to choose some form of odd characters or digits.
    3. Do not use those word which can be match from dictionary.
    4. Don't use combination of keyboard letters, Like qwerty
    5. Do try to use following things which can be easily guessed :
    * Contact numbers.
    * Vehicle registration number.
    * Name of friends or any relatives
    * Any memorable Date.
    6. Never try to use your own A/C name as its password.

    Tricks for choosing good password

    Try to combine more than two words and construct it your own way that can be remembered to you not for all.

    Take a look on good examples which is using multiple words:

    * gEt%L0st! - get lost!
    * heLP4me$ - help for me

    But it can be a bad one:

    * T0gether - to get her

    Using phrase:
    * rsKf0myH - Raindrops keep falling on my head.
    * wru2rxy? - Who are you to ask why.
    * bWiIso3! - Beware the ides of March!

    But it can be a bad one:

    * Aaaaaaaa - Always assert an ambiguous axiom and argue aggressively.

    setting up password of root

    You are using Linux and you have created a user and wanted to setup the password but Linux occur some warnings before accepting password what can be the reason.

    When you are going to setup the password,Linux investigates the entered password using a complex algorithm. The Algorithm follow some guidelines and rules.
    - Password should contain 6 to 8 characters including some complex combination and should be the combination of
    * Lower case alphabetic
    * Upper case alphabetic
    * Numbers from 0 to 9
    * Alphabetical Punctuation marks
