Force logoff malfunctioning

Hello,

I'm on XP PRO and use the command "net user" which works well except that the opening of limited account access code is required. What is the code for at no time setting of any code has been returned.

Second Order "Force logoff when logon hours expire" which does not work. This means that the scheduled time of closing the session remains open. Where is the problem?
Thank you for your help

Re: Force logoff malfunctioning

This manipulation is done with an administrator account.
Do Start => Run => and type cmd OK then.

The syntax for hours is as follows:
Net user nomducompte /times:[access times]

For example on behalf Cthierry who has the right to go on the PC every day of 18 hours at 20 hours the order will be as follows:
Net user Cthierry /times: L-Di,18:00-20:00

Either the youngest Maxentius who should go on the PC on Wednesday afternoon:
Net user Maxence /times: Me,14:00-18:00

Finally on behalf of Sebastien utliser for the Pc Monday from 10 to 12, Wednesdays from 14 to 16 and Friday 18 to 20 hours:
Net user Sebastien /times: L, 10:00-12:00;Me,14:00-16:00;V,18:00-20:00

For the syntax of times you can choose between 12 or 24 hours (12pm (1am - 1pm) 24 (01:00 - 13:00))
Regarding the days of the week you can either write this way L, Tu, J, V, S, D or in full for more clarity in the consultation Account
Monday, Tuesday ...

FYI, the slots must be filled, not minutes (Ex: 18: 12 to be 18: 00) and as each software to its limits, if an account is opened before the time limit expires, the person the PC will continue to use the same account with the passing of the deadline to use. So it must still monitor although this trick avoids excessive use of the PC.

To cancel the restrictions (Administrator account required course ) Open the command prompt (Start => Run => and type cmd then OK) and write net user account_name /times:all

To see the current restrictions on the account and other account information open the command prompt (Start => Run => and type cmd then OK) and write net user account_name and OK

Re: Force logoff malfunctioning

Indeed it is a kind of bug of Windows XP so that when you're on admin account can continue. For the limited account, it asks for a sit admin password if there is one. Either there is still a bug because it does not have access to all the files needed to use Net Job title.

I have tested with accounts with passwords so ...

When you'll type "net accounts" in command prompt, I suspect you'll see the following line:
  • Force user logoff how long after time expires? : Never
  • To set this use the following cmd: net accounts /forcelogoff: /domain

Where "minutes" is the number of minutes ahead of the forced logoff to warn the user.
