Windows Xp update Error code : 0x8007F117

Hi,

I always get this error 0x8007F117 during the update. I have tried all solutions on the MS site tried nothing seems to work. Updates since one years be offered on my PC but not installed. I have only notice I thing , that I was offered Windows installer at the first time, when I got this error ??? What does this Error code : 0x8007F117 during Windows Xp update mean??

To more precisely, I think that something is missing. The workarounds were all related to things you could encounter during the update. To solve your problem. Try changing the location of the update database, renaming the file where the updates are stored , then try to update it again, I hope this solve your problem.

Windows Xp update failure might be because of URLMON.DLL, you need to register URLMON.DLL:
1. Click "Start," and then click "Run."
2. In the "Run" dialog box, type "REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL" (w/o the quotes) and then click "OK." You should see a popup message that this process succeeded.
3. Try the Windows Update site and see if you still get the error.
