Re: How to Increase VMware Hard Disk Space

You need to do following steps to increase the hard disk size in VMware.
    # Go to the windows start and run.
    # Type cmd and press enter.
    # Navigate into the vmware.exe directory.
    # Type vmware-vdiskmanager -x 25GB image.vmdk ubder the C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Server path.
    # Specify the name of the virtual machine Ubuntu.vmdk.
    # After that Type -
    vmware-vdiskmanager -x 25GB D:\Virtual Machines\Ubuntu\Ubuntu.vmdk.

It will create new hard disk space for Ubuntu operating system. Best of luck.

You can also try the windows method to increase VMware Hard Disk Space. For this, you have loaded the secondary hard drive on the secondary virtual machine to fix the partitions. You need to run the command prompt and enter "diskpart.exe". Then type show volume and select volume 2 and type extend and exit. Best of luck.
