how to resolve frequent rebooting of windows xp in a laptop ?

Dear ALL,

I have a Compaq M2225 AP model laptop with windows xp home edn with Service pack3.Till yesterday, laptop was working fine.Yesterday night all of a sudden, laptop started rebooting frequently with blue screen messages. Laptop behaves the same way in Safe mode also.On choosing BIOS Self test on hard disk drive, test passed with out any errors. I have not added any software/hardware.Still system is continuosly re booting .
Any solution to this problem ?

Try to replace existing RAM with new one and check whether its working. Most of the times if RAM gone faulty such cases happen..

Hello,
Have you scanned you laptop for viruses, it may be that the your computer is experiencing an virus infection. Or check for the ram, may be the ram is not plugged properly. Because the blue screen comes often when the ram is not plugged in properly. You can check the following link for more help on this topic.
