| Is terminal needed for MAC OS X
Hi, The Terminal is the means of direct communication with the Unix layer of Mac OS X, the micro-kernel, it displays a shell (or shell) is a shell that surrounds a kind of engine operating system to allow you to interact with the system. Does the terminal needed or even we can work without that. If needed then what are the most essential commands for it. |

The terminal is an application (located in the Utilities located in Applications) that allows free to contact the computer through a command line (text interface). The UNIX commands are however not a prior made for everyone. If you decide to try their luck and enter command lines in your terminal, make sure that you write and especially Proofread your order before validation! A mistake could lead to disaster. |

Not really for most users, this does not prove necessary. Many small applications (such as Onyx) undertake to carry out certain transactions for you, so that's reassuring. And For some operations you'll have to go through your terminal. In this case, carefully follow the advice and instructions for these operations. You'll find that when you clear things, it goes without a hitch. |

There are many commands for the terminal. Like the ls-l will Give more details as ordering ls: Appear permissions, owner, group, etc. The man command tells you what a particular order terminal. The pwd command is for Print Working Directory: This command displays the absolute path to the directory where you are. This will allow you to locate any point in the tree OS X. The cd command is for Directory Change: To change the directory. For example, to visit the directory of Benedict, one would type cd / Users / Benedict. |
