Linksys WUSB300N do not detects under Windows 7

Hi. I have purchased a Linksys WUSB300N network adapter in order to get wireless connectivity to the netbooks and other system. The thing is that I have a desktop machine and I am now not able to connect the network adapter as I have upgraded the system to Windows 7. It used to work well before when been installed with Windows Xp. Please help. Thank you.

The problem could be with the compatibility mode that the device may not be able to cope up well with the system that is been loaded. The network adapter may be very much compatible with windows Xp and hence it is very much able to get work with the same. Try to use Windows Xp in order to function with the same. This may not result any detection issue as it used to work well before.

There is a possibility that the drivers that is been associated with the the network adapter may not be updated. The drivers for the network adpter needs to be upgraded so that it may work and cope up well with Windows 7 well. As Windows 7 been advanced than that of Windows Xp operating system it needs more advance feature applications in order to function well.

You could try to use the device by executing the process under safe mode. try to run the system under safe mode of Windows 7 and then check out whether it works well with the device. It may be that the advanced features may not be able to gel up with the network device and hence it fails to get detected under the same. So check out for the thing by running under safe mode. This should help.

Try out by running a clean boot in order to get the things to work out properly. This should help you out. Follow the steps as follows:

* Click on the start menu button.
* Open the run command and type msconfig.
* Now under the general tab go to selective startup option.
* Check on Hide all Microsoft services option.
* Disable the features.
* Restart the system.

Use the backup tool of Windows 7 that is Windows Xp as the software in order to get the device to function. This should help you out in making the things to work out. Otherwise there is way through which you can make the things to work. Uninstall the drivers that has been installed and then reinstall the drivers for the same. It will then make the device to function well.
