Does Intellexer Summarizer work in Windows 7

I need to know does Intellexer Summarizer work in Windows 7? I am using Windows XP operating system and I am deciding to upgrade my system to Windows 7. Intellexer Summarizer is a software, that creates a summary for any document or web page that has been previously been browsed. It is a very good software and it was very useful because of which i want to use it in Windows 7 too. Is there any technique i can use to do this?

Re: Does Intellexer Summarizer work in Windows 7

I dont think that Intellexer Summarizer will work in Windows 7. Here are the system requirements for Intellexer Summarizer:
  • Operating system: Windows 95/Windows 98/Windows XP
  • Processor: Pentium IV 1600 MHz or better
  • RAM: 1024 RAM
Since, the system requirements does not have that it supports Windows 7, so it will create problems when you will try to run Intellexer Summarizer in this Windows 7 operating system.

You can use any of the following softwares if Intellexer Summarizer does work in Windows 7, since they too are used for summarizing:
  • advHighlighter 1
  • PDF Summary Maker 1.07
  • SumInfos (Summary Information) 1
  • BLOB Statistics 1
  • XRay Web Log Analyzer STD 1.0
  • CaptainsLog 2000 SR-2
  • LogAnalysis 1.05

I advice you to not upgrade to Windows 7 because it has such problems like Intellexer Summarizer does not work in Windows 7. Here are the reasons for the same:
  1. Windows 7 is more or less the same as Windows Vista.
  2. It is too costly as compared to the other alternatives in the market.
  3. There are no problems with XP and Vista, then, why upgrade to Windows 7.
  4. The same insecure infrastructure is used to develop Windows 7 too.
  5. There are many incompatibilities in Windows 7.
  6. Inorder to upgrade from Windows XP, you will have to do a clean install.
  7. After all Windows remains a closed system.

Re: Does Intellexer Summarizer work in Windows 7

I recommend you to use a dual boot method for incompatible programs and such problems like Intellexer Summarizer not working in Windows 7. So, the programs that are having problems in Windows 7 can be run in the other operating system like Vista or XP. You just need to install the other operating system in another drive in your system. This will give a screen called as Windows Boot Manager, when you start the system. Here you can load into the operating system that you like.

You can use the compatibility troubleshoot option, that you get when you right-click on the shortcut for the particular application or program. Here, you can specify the problems that you have detected while running the application or program or you can also let the system decide the errors that the application or program is having with the operating system. This will run the program in the compatibility mode and you simply have to apply the settings for the future, if you find that it is working fine.
