MSDE wont work under windows 7

Hello. I have a desktop machine and is loaded with Windows 7 as the operating system. I have an accounting software and it needs MSDE that is the Microsoft Sql server Desktop Engine. It do not respond under Windows 7. Why is this happening? How can I make the MSDE to work? Please help. Thank you.

The problem that you are unable to use the accounting software as the required MSDE is not supporting the feature. You need to check whether the compatibility mode for the tool that is the MSDE is supporting to the compatibility mode for the operating system. Only then it would be better to get known to the application through which it can get executed well.

Have you tried to execute the program under compatibility mode feature. try to execute the program under its compatible mode that would relevantly allow the application to get executed. You need to right click on the .exe file of the application and make it to run as administrator then allowing to access the features make it run under compatible mode provided in Windows 7 program feature.

Try to run the application under safe mode. This should make the application to run as it do not feature well under the open operating system that is Windows 7 which has lots of embedded feature that may make the system to respond accordingly with the application. So you need to fist check whether what has to be implemented so as to make the system to make the MSDE to work for the accounting software.

Uninstall the application that you have installed that is the Accounting software with the MSDE and then again reinstall the application so that this should make it work accordingly. This is because after the upgradation of the operating system you need to upgrade the application pack and then make it install. This would then result well with the system ot respond.

Run the application under windows Xp is the thing I would suggest you to do. As Windows 7 may not support the application well and it needs to be used under Windows XP. Windows Xp been a good system where almost many of the execution files gets executed. Windows 7 been newly launched and has more features enabled that do not resolve the query very much with the outdated tools.
