| Hibernate problem on 1000H EeePC
I just installed Windows 7 on my 1000H EeePC notebook. Did some optimization and now very happy with its performance. But there is only this one thing which is kind of frustrating that is Hibernation doesn't work. Whenever I click on hibernate the screen dims form a couple of seconds and after that the logon screen show up waiting for me to select a profile to load. Any suggestions please. |

Well if this is a new system then that's very weird that you face an issue like this. Check the Power Management option in control panel, there might some changes which you will have to make. See if that helps. |

I checked the power Management option in control panel and everything looks fine over there. I used a powercfg.exe to generate a report and this entry is the only one that seems problematic : Power Management Capabilities:ACPI _PSD Object Failed Validation There is a problem with the definition of the ACPI _PSD object on this computer. Installing the latest system firmware (BIOS) may resolve this issue. Group 0 Index 0 Anybody know what error it is.? |

Well the error is pretty self explanatory, and says what to do you need to update your system's BIOS and your Chipset Drivers. Because if you go through the error report then you will come to know there are some serious issues with the the BIOS and your Chipset drivers. Now I don't know what made this error to come up. I mean I don't know why your system's BIOS or Chipset Drivers got corrupted, Because there are many reasons behind that. And update will surely fix the issue. |

There is nothing to do with the Drivers over here. Because Windows 7 has built in drivers and there is no need to update it again and again. Windows 7 has full built in support for an old chipset like the 945 and doesn't need to be told anything. And technically it's just an INF update as there isn't a single "driver" in Intel's chipset updates. Try to check the Loader which you are using. There might be some issue with the Loader which you are using. |
