I have a PC (Windows XP) with 2 GB RAM, Pentium 4 (3,2 GHz Dual Core) and 22,5 GB free disk space (on C: ) and when I try to install Windows 7 (from scratch), the installation fails.
When Windows starts loading files and before (or sometimes after I get the prompt for the Time&Date or Language configuration), either the screen freezes and I can do nothing or I get a blue screen with the following error:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL
STOP: 0x0000000A (0x983FFF0, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xBCB094B).
Does anyone know what can be the problem?
I've updated the BIOS Firmware, I've unplugged any USB device or I have disabled from BIOS the build-in Network card or Sound card but without success.
I'm really desperate because I don't know what else to do and what this problem can be.
