Erasing Swap after shutdown

Hello, I am using Ubuntu 9.10 on my computer and I want to do some setting from which when I shut down my computer, it will simply erase all the data on the swap partition. Though it will slow down my computer shut down time, I want to do this. So, if anyone is using Linux then please tell me how to erase swap after shutdown?

Re: Erasing Swap after shutdown

You need to use the script below and store it in /etc/init wipeswap.conf
Code:
# upstart config - wipes swap space on shutdown

description "Erase wipe"

start on (runlevel [016] and stopped gdm)

script
  swapoff -a
  sswap -lz /dev/sda3
end script

Re: Erasing Swap after shutdown

Hello, I am using East-Tec Eraser 2004 with the version of 5.6.0.291 for erasing swap after shutdown. You can able to buy it with just 49.95$. If you want to secure your data by removing all of the history of your computer you can use East-Tec Eraser 2004. It does not need your approval for deleting this swap information. So, that you will able to delete all the history without any problem.
It will solve your problem.
