Have you tried it?
The answer is yes, at least for documents. If you want to go a step further, in Windows Explorer or desktop when you are in retail display mode on the column names, you do a right click and you can then choose the properties you want to view. Me, I display the comments and add or alter comments. It is a more informative.

Re: Edit Document Properties

Hi
Yes, I of course tried it and the data I want to change is: "Saved by last" off this information is not modifiable "live". I seek a solution in order to modify the program by example. With GetFileVersionInfo api, I can retrieve some info but just fetch to see them. But for the change? Similarly with an executable file (. Exe). How can I change the "company name" and "product version"? Thank you for your help.

Re: Edit Document Properties

Hello
By my knowledge some properties are not modifiable. For EXE is in the source code that are data and can not change them. If you want to do the same, I think you require some programming knowledge. And if you know some system programming then it is well and good, this will definitely help you. I think there are some API in programming language that you should know first.

Re: Edit Document Properties

Hi
I have very little compiled, but I remember that this information is not added later, but during the compilation. If you are some what related to programming, you can study some of the programming API and do the necessary things. I repeat that, I think without any programming knowledge you can not change the properties of any file. Though I am impressed with your question, but I do not think the answer will be too easy for this.
