How to disable content indexing in disk in Windows 7?

Hey Friend, I am having a problem with Windows 7 that i need to solve here. I know that window always the do the content indexing of the file and folder created or modified which is helpful for the finding of data with the search but i am not using the search option at all. So i need to disable the content indexing in disk in Windows 7 so that i can increase the performance of the system. So advise me the same. Thank you

To do the same you have make little change that will make your computer for the disabling the indexing of the file or folder that is created or modified. But before that make sure that you don't want to perform the search operation of the system. This will disable the content search. If you still want to make the change then follow the step given below.
  • Click on the start
  • Go to My Computer and click on it
  • Go to the device and right click on it
  • Select the properties
  • Uncheck the 'Allow Files on this drive to have contents indexed in addition to file properties'.
  • Click on the OK and finish it

Hey thanks for the reply i have done that but if i want to make the indexing of the some of the file but not to the complete disk then what should i don this will disable the indexing of the complete file. I don't want to do that i want to keep indexing of some of the some of the file. So help me with this and tell me that is possible or not. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

No need you can do that also this feature is also available in the Windows so use the method given below and see how come it will make the changes according to you need. Just go through the steps given below that will help you for the file indexing.
  • Just Right Click on the File
  • And go to the Properties and click on it
  • Jump to the General tab
  • Select the Advance fro there
  • Now from the table "Archive and Index attributes" check the box labeled "For
  • fast searching, allow Indexing Service to index this file"
  • Click on the OK
You can do same for any other file
