Hey I have just installed Windows 7 on a my Acer Aspire M1100 and everything was working fine and as expected till it went to boot after completing the installation of Windows 7.
An Acer Splash screen somes up and then screen goes black and then it displays "Verifying DMI Data Pool" and hangs on that screen and does nothing after that. It like freezes at that screen.
Can some one please provide an solution on this.

Hey don't worry this DMI Pool data is usually because some issues with BIOS.
What you can try is, if your laptop is not in warranty then open the case and press the CMOS Reset Button or remove the CMOS Battery for 10 minutes.
This should solve it.

Yes that's right A Verifying DMI Pool Data means a Bad BIOS. And it freezes over there because the Checksum's are n't right due to some reason. Try clearing the CMOS and if that doesn't work then you might have to replace your Motherboard. You try once more option which is of installing the Windows 7 again and see if that solves the issue.

I have tried all the options given above but nothing is working for me. I have reset the CMOS Battery for like two to three times but that did not work for me. I do have the Windows 7 OS, so I guess I have to try installing it again, which I didn't wanted to because it will again take like an hour for installation.
Any other options if available.

Hey you can try this out.
Open the case and then unplug the drive on which you installed Windows 7. Then you need to unplug the DVD drive as well and remove the RAM also. And then reset the CMOS battery. And then start the computer, you will get an error of missing memory. Then shut it down and then connect the RAM and all other devices which are unplugged. And boot your computer. This might solve your issue because it happens sometimes that we have to reset the CMOS Battery by removing all the devices connected to the motherboard.
