    Windows 7 No "Folder Options"

    Good evening, I have a issue with windows 7, I had a virus and now folder option and search folders is gray, nothing happens when i click on them. Do you know how to solve the problem? Thank you 1000 times ahead,

    Before performing any task you need to have a good antivirus program and scan you full system, checkout following if they removed the malicious programs from your pc:

    To enable Folder Options in Windows 7, do the following:

    • Click the "Start" & type "regedit" in the search box and press enter.
    • Navigate to following registry key:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer.
    • Create a new 32-bit DWORD value and name it NoFolderOptions.
    • Double click on the value named NoFolderOptions to set its value data to 0 to enable it.

    FixWin Utility

    Download this FixWin Utility on your desktop by clicking ,Unzip the archive. Open the folder FixWin and double-click FixWin.exe. Click on Windows Explorer left and then click the button Fix opposite Enable Folders option. Fixes when Folders Option is missing from Tools Menu and Control Panel .

    Copy the following :

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "NoFolderOptions"=dword:0000000

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]
    "NoBrowserOptions"=dword:00000000
    And save the above text in notepad file with name folderoptions.reg and save ti on your desktop and double click on it. Windows wila sk confirmation for merge it with windows registry, click on yes.
