This problem occurs if the User Account Control (UAC) prevents the activation of processes running in a command prompt non-elevated privileges.

To solve this problem, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, Click All programs -> Accessories Click the right click mouse button on the command prompt, then click Run as.
    2. Click on the following user, select the list administrator username.
    3. Click OK.
    4. At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER :
      slmgr.vbs

It makes "slmgr.vbs" is not recognized as internal or external command, windows program or batch file.

Is your Windows is activated? because i can run slmgr.vbs , The name actually stands for Windows Software Licensing Management Tool.

How to tell if Windows software is activated?

To check the activation status of Windows, follow these steps:

    1. To open System, Click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Security, Then System.
    2. Under Windows Activation You can view your activation status.
