Unable to install windows 7, invalid product key

After formatting my hard drive (I am still in windows 7 RC yet), it appears that the installation (installation personalize, no upgrade) does not work. Simply not blocked at the activation key. The product key is for an upgrade version of Windows 7 and an earlier version of Windows was not on the computer when you installed Windows 7.
