| Re: How to do print screen in Mac OS X
There are few ways to do screen capture in Mac OS X. To capture the entire desktop, press Command-Shift-3. The image screen shot which you have taken while surfing will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop. To capture screen to clipboard command-shift-4: capture selection to file , No need to open any program like Paint to paste the copy from clipboard command-fn-shift-4: capture selection to keyboard. |

A screen shot is an image taken by the computer to record the visible items, Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard and Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard are the commands sue in mac as print screen. These shortcuts also work in Mac OS Classic, and can be customised (ie to any of the F keys) using the Keyboard and Mouse preference pane in the System Preferences. |

Screen Capture is part of the Mac OS X Panther operating system, which means that it is available with every application that works with OS X.A shell utility called "screencapture" (located in /usr/sbin/screencapture) can be used from the Terminal application or in shell scripts to capture screenshots and save them to files. |
