BSNL EVDO data card in vista

Hi all,

I have been hearing about BSNL EVDO data card for quite some time. It is available in market, Now i want to know them how can i install on my laptop. I am using Windows vista on my laptop. Thanks for any reply.

This is a USB card looks the same as the one you are seen from Reliance. The manufacturer is same too that is from ZTE. The model number of BSNL EVDO data card AC8700. i am using this in Kolkata, and i am not found very good speed as usual. The driver which come from BSNL EVDO data card mini cd is only for 2000/Xp, You need the download drivers for Vista from ztemt website.

I will used BSNL EVDO data card and found its good speed.I suggest you just go to your nearest telephone exchange and fill up a form. You need to produce some address proof and You will get the EVDO modem that day itself. The BSNL EVDO modem is available for Rs. 3500/- and the monthly tariff is 550/-. I found good value for money considering there is no download limit. Billing is post-paid in BSNL.

Yesterday , i was go for purchasing BSNL EVDO data card and found new price list from BSNL. The price is based on monthly usage that is as follows:

299.00 1.0 GB
449.00 2.0 GB
649.00 5.0 GB
999.00 Unlimited

You should also paid 10.3 service tax for this.

I already installed the BSNL EVDO data card in Vista through third party drivers software because the drivers CD that was come with data card is only for windows 2000 and windows XP. I run the installer to install the modem drivers. It takes 5-6 min to install and after the system restarting the device is ready for use.I found the dialer software has a cool interface then i click connect and start surfing.

I never expected such fast surfing speeds from BSNL EVDO data card almost like broadband. It is my first experiance with BSNL that provide good broadband service with only Rs 999 only.
