Replace vista oem version

Hello all

Now on my Laptop I have a Windows Vista Home Premium OEM version 32 bits.

What procedure i should follow to install a Windows Vista Business 64 bits OEM version also.

Can I do this operation without fear of having a license issue or something else?

OEM software is licensed for an explicit individual computer. if you'll take the CD and install to another computer, you are violating the license. However, OEM versions often do checking to make sure you are running the right computer brand, etc. But if it installs properly and gets Microsoft updates without issues, enjoy!

Its not legal to installing OEM version for one pc on another pc, but In addition, if you uninstall it with a normal license you can reinstall it on another machine. If you have bought the legitimate licensee copy of windows then you can install it without any hesitation.

No. OEM licenses are permanently bound to the first computer on which they're installed, and not transferable to any other computer, under any circumstances. You should remember that doing this might be considered illegal in Microsoft's eyes.

You can totally replace your current OEM by another OEM, as long as it is legally not valid. There is one more way is to swap the motherboards, because the OEM version "belongs" to the motherboard, but i think its quite difficult on laptop. Windows Vista will require re-activation if you replace the motherboard with a motherboard not provided by the OEM.
