Windows 7 always freezes waking from sleep

I have upgraded from the windows Vista to Windows 7. By default the system goes to sleep after 20 minutes. But now I am realizing that when it wakes up, It always gets hung. I have to wait for sometime before it is ready to use again. Sometimes times it does not wakes up and i have to Force a restart. I would like to know if this can happen from hardware malfunction. Also suggest some solution so that i can get rid of this problem?

I have also upgraded my system to Windows 7. The system goes to sleep after 20 minutes but when it wakes up either the monitor remains black or it does not restart. So if i had to get it working i had to restart it forcefully. So if you find a way out to solve this issue please let me know.

This is not an Operating System problem. I had faced this problem earlier but resolved the issue by slightly adjusting the settings in the system. To get rid of this I turned off all the sleep options and this really worked for me. There is no freezing problem with my system after that.

These types of problems can be solved by turning off the auto-hide function of the taskbar. To achieve this just follow the steps mentioned below

1.Right click on the Start button
2.Select properties
3.Click the taskbar tab , Uncheck the 'Auto-hide the taskbar' checkbox.
4.Restart the system.

I am working on the windows 7 on several computers in my Office and also on the computer at my home. But my home computer was troubling mw with this issue. The problem was that i enabled the "auto hide the taskbar" . The all started working fine. Even my home computer started running smoothly.
