| How to install ADAM on Windows 7
At our workplace, ADAM is installed on Windows XP Pro to store application data and create LDS instance. I was wondering if we switch to Windows 7 OS, then how will we create LDS instance on this new OS locally? Can anyone tell me how to have ADAM available on Windows 7, thank you. |

I think that still the Active directory Application mode is not made avail on Windows 7 platform. Unless a new version is released, the available version of ADAM is incompatible with Windows 7, so you will have to wait for a while and till that time use Windows XP instead.

There is a way to do this but you will need to have or go for some third party solution or application cause I have still not seen any news relating to new version release of the ADAM till now from anywhere. Microsoft will soon have to do something for this issue.

I would suggest you better install Windows Server 2008 rather than using Windows XP and if you have any problem installing ADAM or if you are getting any error code then please do the following: 1. Make sure TMG is installed on a Domain member 2. Make sure TMG beta 2 is installed only on Windows server 2008 and not on R2 ( post beta 2 builds will work on r2) 3. Make sure you have a clean OS and not on the same machine where you had an earlier build of TMG
