How to select mutliple item in windows 7 without using the CTRL button?

Hi there, I have a small problem which i think can be solved here only. I am using the Windows 7 for my personal use which is working fine. But the problem is that when i have to select multiple item at that i have to use the control key pressed for the long time. Which is some time frustrating because if you by mistake loose the control then you have to select whole thing again. As the Windows 7 is new release i think it can support the multiple selection without pressing the CTRL key. Help with the same. Thanks in advance

Yes, you are right you can select the multiple item together in the Windows 7 So go through the process to activate the same and see the selection change by allowing the check box to select the item. Hope you will do the same which i am describing to you.
  • Click on the start
  • And then go to the search
  • And type folder option on it
  • Click on the folder option
  • Go to the view tab
  • Under the advance setting click on the "use check box to select item.
  • Click on Apply and OK
Its Done

After you have the above setting you now can select the multiple item in the windows 7. It is not only work with the files but also with the folder. When you click on the item a check box will appear before every selection to help you for more item selection. It also work with the desktop item. If you want to move certain filed into somewhere else from the desktop it allows the selection of the same without using the CTRL key. So use it and enjoy it.

If you want to use the same you have to follow the method which i am giving you. Just double click on the My Computer icon and then go to the tools and then to the folder option from there. A windows will appear, jump to the view tab. Now under the advance setting you will notice lots option available with the check box. Look for the "Use Check box to select item" option and click on it. Save setting and exit. Now if you try to select multiple item it will give you the check box option to make selection. Thank you.
