    Change Registered Owner's Value Data

    I want to change Registered Owner's Value Data. This is value is not belong to the name of me and now I wanted to change as required by me. So, if there is any type of solution which will give me help to change the Registered Owner's Value Data then please give me that to me. I am using Windows XP service pack-2 in my computer.

    The steps below will help you to modify the registered owner and organization of the Windows XP Operating System.

    1. Click on Start then Run and type Regedit and press enter.
    2. Now navigate to Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
    3. Now you need to Modify the Value Data Type and Value Name as given below:
      Data Type: String Value
      Data Type: String Value
      Setting for Value Data: Modify the Values
    4. Now close the registry and Restart your system.

    To Change Registered Owner's Value Data follow the instructions below:
    • Click Start, Run and type regedit, and then click OK.
    • Go to the path below:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion
    • First take backup of the key by exporting to a file.
    • As you wanted to change the name of the registered owner, double-click on RegisteredOwner.
    • Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.
    • Click on exit and then reboot your system to save the changes.

    I want to change Registered Organization value from my Windows xp. While installing the operating system I have used the garbage value by mistake. And now wanted to change it. So, if there is any trick by which I can change the Registered Organization value then please give me that. I will be thankful to you. Is there any application which can do it directly after installing it? If yes then please give me details about that application and the URL from which I can get that application for download.

    To Change Registered Owner's Value Data you need to follow the steps below:

    1. Click on the start and select 'Run'.
    2. Now type the command as "regedit".
    3. Then you need to go to the path of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ and then right-click on the "RegisteredOwner" String Value and click on "Modify".
    4. Now enter the username that you want and click on 'OK'.
    5. Done.
