| How to get the list of installed drivers from the command prompt?
Hey folks, I have a small query about the use of the command prompt and don't really know how to resolve the that. I want to check the list of the drivers installed in my system but don't know the command to do so. I having Windows 7 operating system on my computer. So help me with the proper solution and tell me is there any other way to do so. A help may be appreciated. Thank you |

Hi there, It is very simple you can list the complete driver installed on the system with a command which is also available with the lots of option to facilitate the user to give more knowledge about the same. So use the command which i am giving you and see the result of the same and tell me that it works for you or not. The command is "driverquery". Say thanks if it works for you. Bye |

Hey i appreciate the above reply but i think this he forgot to mention the option of the "driverquery" command which work with the same. So here i am giving you the option which are used with the driverquery command. Use it to get the full detail of the driver running on your system.

This command is also helpful if you are using the junkie or the cygwin which is installed in your system. You can pipe the command by grep and access the the format which you are looking for. If you run this command without parameter then it will only display the default output. For the use of the cygwin use "driverquery > test.txt'. Thats all i know about the "driverquery" command. Why you want to use the command prompt to get the list of the installed driver when there is another way to do that is available. A software is called as "DriverView" which is used for checking the list of the driver and it don't even require to download on the system just you have download it and use it. It also fast in use. Thank you |

Hey DriverView is really working software utility which help me regarding the list of the driver. When you launch this utility, It will automatically display the detail of the driver. When double click on the any of the driver it will give you the complete detail of the particular driver. You can also choose to save the list of drivers in a number of different formats.
