I am going to change my operating system from windows to linux. I have only two choices Fedora 11 and Ubuntu 9.10. Does any one know what are the extra features offer by Ubuntu 9.10 over Fedora 11. I also want to know which one simple for operating?

Fedora 11 SELinux by default: Cool but confusing, Both Ubuntu and Fedora ship with the latest versions of Gnome 2.26, KDE 4.2 (in Kubuntu) and XFCE 4.6 (in Xubuntu). Fedora 11 repositories: Better selection than previous releases, still not as many choices as Ubuntu. Fedora 11 seems to be a full 6 months ahead of Ubuntu.
New Fedora 11 features include one that will be useful for people working on desktop PCs that connect to Fedora servers in the back end, In ubuntu 9.10 firefox will be integrated into the OS, for safer searching, you will get a helpful message every time a "malicious" program tries to execute, system crashes will result in helpful messages on a pretty red or blue screen, and most importantly, the addition of the UBUNTU REGISTRY! A new automatic-content installation feature that leverages Fedora's PackageKit software-management system lets users automatically download a font, feature or even an application they need if they come across a file that needs an extension not found locally on a PC.
In Ubuntu 9.10, the boot process has finally been changed over to Upstart from the classic System V init. You can still get to all the audio control ALSA in Fedora 11 that can give you if you elect to use Alsamixer program or its GNOME interface. The default, however, is still that single volume control. As a result, the advantages of the new boot system – event-driven starting of the init scripts and extensive system start parallelisation – remained more or less unused.
