Unable to run regedt32

Hi,

I have system with windows 7 installed on it. I need your help over one query about the "regedt32". The thing is that I am unable to run the "regedt32". Whenever I try to open this file I immediately get the error message . On windows XP I never had this type of issue as in the windows 7.
Please help to get solution over this error occurs while running the "regedt32". I am waiting for reply.

Hi Friends, If you are not able to tun the "regedt32" then please follow the below instructions:

• Select the "Start".
• Open the "Run" window.
• Then write "gpedit.msc" in the "Run" text box.
• Then you will see the "User Configuration" window.
• Then go for "Administrative Templates".
• Then you will see the "Prevent access to registry tools" option in the system window.
• Finally you need to disable this option.

Hello friend,
It seems that the "Prevent access to registry tools" option of your system is disabled. Please check this, if it is already disabled then you have make it enable. Because you are not able to run "regedt32" if the "Prevent access to registry tools" is disabled. I am telling you this because I had gone through same "regedt32" error. I had made the "Prevent access to registry tools" option enabled and my problem got solved.

All your suggestion was useful me to solve the the problem of the "regedt32". I had followed above instruction to enable the "Prevent access to registry tools" option. After enabling "Prevent access to registry tools" , I again tried to run the "regedt32", and it was successful this time. Now I don't get any error when opening the "regedt32".
