The error present on this system will be mention that another resource/process has currently acquired the lock task. Hence this kind of problem arrives on your system. Sometimes we need to use the special solution to solve this problem. Then just reboot the system and it really work to solve the problem. Then reboot the system and it will kill all running process of the system. Then you can do this lock task on this system.

Initially root account password is locked in Ubuntu. it will be indicate that the user not able to login as Root directly. he also can't use the sudo command to become the Root user. In the terminal of this Ubuntu, you need to use sudo for commands that need root privileges. Remember that the sudo asks for a password and that time you needs to enter YOUR USER password. don't enter the Root account password. This information help you to do task in correct manner.

Users don't have to keep in mind an extra password (i.e. the root password), which they are likely to forget. sudo adds a log entry of the command(s) run (in /var/log/auth.log). It allows move for admin rights, in a short term or long term period, by adding and removing users from groups. It will not compromising the Root account. The authentication of this root automatically expires after a short time. Hence sometime it will be give problem. You need to enlarge its short time.

When using sudo, your password is stored by default for 15 minutes. After that time, you will need to enter your password again. If you not do this task, then the system will be indicate this kind of problem. Hence you need to just do this password protection and it will be help you to solve the problem. This is necessary in your problem. Without doing this task, you can’t able to solve the problem.

You should never use normal sudo to start graphical applications as Root. You should use gksudo to run such programs. To run the graphical configuration utilities, simply launch the application via the Administration menu. When you drag and drop any data file on this launcher, it will be opened as Root with its own connected application. To enable the Root account sudo command will be effective to do this task.
