HP pavilion dv5000 Windows 7 problems

There are many problems coming in the installation process of the Windows 7 operating system in my HP pavilion dv5000 desktop. The first problem is that the keyboard does not work properly. some how i completed the setup process but after the installation same problem is occurring with the keyboard. And the second problem is with the Speaker settings. When i press the Mute button it does not responds.

But after completing the installation your keyboard and the speakers are not working properly with this Operating system. But they were working properly with the older operating system ie Windows XP. The first reason for this problem could be the installation itself. It is possible that the OS is not installed properly on your computer system.
