Windows 7 not functioning programs properly

Hello. Well I use windows 7 as my operating system on my desktop machine. The problem is that my system has been slowed down. The process executes at a very slower rate and is unable to to respond quickly to the process. It takes a long time to shut down if the processes are closed. The task manager sometimes stops responding too. Even small application programs do not function properly. Please help. Thank you.

The problem may be associated with the applications that you might have installed on your system. Your system may not be very advanced or compatible to take the load of Windows 7 as the operating system. You should check the compatibility feature for Windows 7 in order to make the use of the software to the fullest. Check out the requirements for Windows 7 first. It requires a minimum of Core 2 duo processor and a 2 Gb ram to function properly. This is the reason that you system stops responding to the program execution.

There might be innumerable amount of programs you might have installed on your system. The hard disk might be full and there would be no more space left for the system to execute. You should free up some space from your system by removing unwanted programs and content. Go to start menu > control panel > add/remove programs. Select the programs that you do not use or is rarely used. This will free up some space also perform a disk clean up wizard for all your drives. Remove temporary files from windows.

A possibility of virus and spyware could have been the affect to your system. You need to scan your system completely. Run a scan wizard by using good latest antivirus software. Would recommend you to use Avg 9.0 as the antivirus software. Also if this do not work Goto start menu> All programs > Accessories > System tools > System restore. Mention the date since when your system was working fine. This will help your system to set it accordingly as it used to work from that date.
