Restore data from C drive

Hi there,

I having a problem regarding the recovery of the data from one of my disc drive. I was suffering from the problem of the virus which corrupted the operating system of mine. After lots of try i finally decided to reformat the system before that i have taken the back of the data. But now the problem is that i don't know how to restore data back. I need the software back specially so please help me with the same.

Well the restoration process depends on how you took the backup??

Did you just copied the files to another Drive/CD/DVD or took it using some kind of software??? If the software is used, then you'll need the same software to restore it back.

Hey,

You did not specified the location where you have taken the back up. Is it in the another hard drive or in the same drive? i.e D or E. If it is in the D or E then just copy that from the there to the C drive and it will work. And if its in the the another hard disk then connect that to the computer and take the back up as simple as that. For connecting the another hard disk you need a IDE or SATA cable which will connect the same with motherboard.

Hi,

I will suggest you to do the system restore to take the back of the same in some where in the another hard drive and then restore it back and to the present setting and reformat the OS. The process of the system restore is as given below.

1. Click on the start
2. Go to All programs
3. Then on top the list click on the Accessories
4. Find the system tools
5. and then the system restore
6. Now change the date of the system to the date when your data is accessible and then take the back up

First let me know that you have taken the back up data using any software or directly to the some disk drive or the USB drive. If it is using the software the first you have to install that software and then restore the data using the same. And if you have taken the data back up using the USB drive then just connect that using the same drive and restore it.
