Live usb does not work in fedora 12

I have any HP laptop, few days before I bought a 64 bit version of Feodora 12. The operating system is no the live usb, normally it should boot fine, but the do not know what is wrong it is not booting up. I also have a Fedora 11 live usb, it works just fine on the same hp laptop. When I checked the live usb on the Acer laptop it worked fine without any problems. The Feodra 12 live usb is just not working with HP. I am confused is this a problem of the Fedora 12 operating system of my HP laptop. Any suggestions or advice on this.

I think the information you provided is to short. Just try to post some more information, so that we can explain what and where is the problem. First you have to check whether your HP laptop supports USB boot, and if yes then is it configured to use Fedora12. Another thing you need to check is the the Fedora 12 live usb is bootable. Please try to check on some Hp laptop if you have one. We can not predict before you post what exactly happens after the HP laptop is powered on. Is it giving you any error or message, then post that. Also it will be better if you try any alternate linux boot options.

I think there is no problem with the HP laptop. It boots normally with the windows xp operating system. Windows XP works good with it. Sorry, but I am not aware of any boot options which you said in your post. I just used the DD method to create a bootable live-usb from the Fedora12 iso file. It just seems to ignore when it starts up. any suggestion on this. There are no error message or something like that. The screen is just blank when it starts up.

As you said earlier I am assuming the following condition

HP laptop - IGNORES USB with Fedora 12/USB - OK: BOOTS FROM USB Fedora 11/USB
Acer laptop OK: BOOTS FROM USB Fedora 12/USB - N/A

- Fedora 11/USB
From the above condition I can say that
1) The USB boot is configured with your HP laptop
2) Atleast on Acer your Fedora12 usb is bootable
3) The combination of Fedora 12 usb and the HP laptop is not working.
I can suggest you the following to do:
1) You can try a Fedora 12 CD/DVD and see if it works
2) You can try different format options with usb.
3) With the Hp's boot utility you can try formatting your usb.
