A mouse cursor is the white pointy arrow that comes with the default setting of Microsoft Windows. You can easily change the default Windows XP mouse pointers to something more to your liking. Free mouse icons can be downloaded but if you are computer savvy you might as well make your own.

A cursor is a pointer thing on your screen when you move your mouse, you can manually assign the icon to the moving cursor from window xp control panel> Open the Control Panel > In the Control Panel double-click the Mouse icon.In the Mouse Properties click the Pointers tab > Click on the pointer that you want to change > then click on the Browse button > Choose your pointer > Click on OK.
