Hi, after installation of windows 7 on the hard drive I got error as "An unexpected i/o error has occurred 0xc00000e9" and suddenly my computer restarted. I have Windows xp on same hard disk, but on different drive. Now I am not able to logon to windows 7 as it is not giving me any option to enter the setup of windows 7. Please, can you help me. I am able to enter setup of the Windows Xp. So, please help me.

Hi, I was getting the same error of "An unexpected i/o error has occurred 0xc00000e9" in my home computer, when I install Windows 7 and windows xp on the same hard drive. Then, I just remove my windows xp from the hard drive and then come to know that the installation is successful and it is not giving me any problem till yet. So, I would suggest you that just make use of the hard drive which is not having another operating system installed on it and install the windows 7 on that particular hard drive and solve your problem.

Hi, you are getting the same error as me. I am also getting the same error of "An unexpected i/o error has occurred 0xc00000e9", while installing the windows 7 on my computer. I don't know why I am getting this, but now the problem is I am not able to get access to my windows xp also. That means I am not able to use Windows 7 as well as windows xp. If you got some solution regarding this, please give it to me also. I am waiting for any solution which will remove out me from this particular problem. Please help me also.

Hi, I think you are getting this problem as you have installed both operating system on the single hard drive. It may possible to create dual boot in Windows 98 and xp but, I don't think that this will more helpful with the Windows 7. I will suggest you to make use of another hard drive and then try to install the Windows 7 on that and then check whether your are getting the same error or not. If you are getting the same error then it may possible that your computer configuration is not well supported to use the windows 7 on that system. So, first read the configuration of the windows 7 and then do the installation.
