Server keeps dropping

Everytime I have to reboot our server because it keeps dropping its network connection every now and then. It seems that it connected properly and drops suddenly. I have ran anti virus, but it didn't seem to detect anything. I have also used some softwares to scan all our web pages. I have also set the remote desktop. Still the problem is persisting. Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

You might had disabled the inactive network connections. You have to just enable that network connections. Before doing this you have to keep in mind some steps:

Stop all the applications that require server like SQL and Antivirus. Otherwise it will cause some problem while enabling inactive network connections.

Your CPU usage must be below 50%. If it is more than 50%, it is caused due to application overload or OS problem.

After doing this your server will not drop.

Try to scan your machine by the updated anti virus. Your anti virus should have the latest update. Otherwise it will not detect the malware functions. Never scan your system in safe mode. Try to unplug and plug the network cables. I also recommend you to change the remote desktop connection port for the more security. If the problem is still persisting try to change the port number. Maybe these things will help you.

I was facing the same scenario. When I was using Windows XP, I can share my files perfectly. After that when I click on network, it suddenly gets disappeared. At last this worked out for me :

In your smb.conf file, you will have the netbios name = server. I also had to add the following option:

wins support = yes

After that I was able to work continuously.
