    In windows 7 CPU runs while idle

    Hi,

    I need your help to find out the solution over one of the problem of the Windows 7.

    I know it is OK if CPU usage is more when some processes are running. I my system has problem that , CPU is running with full usage when there is nothing process is running i.e when it's idle . If it is a problem of the Windows 7 , then please show me the way to move out of this problem.

    Hi,

    Why don't you try below steps to solve CPU usage problem in the Windows 7:

    I). Select Start button then choose Control Panel.

    II). Choose Security and System.

    III). Choose Action Center and after select Troubleshooting.

    IV). You will separately need to choose following options to fix your problem.

    *.Hardware and Sound
    *.System and Security
    *.Programs
    *.Network and Internet
    *.Appearance and Personalization

    There's many possibilities that may cause issue of CPU in windows 7, such as below:

    *. May be RAM of your computer has been failed
    *. May be HDD of your computer has been broken (Because of bad sector you will get read error)
    *. May be Your computer has been infected by various viruses and worms which causing heavy memory loading
    *. May be Your computer's driver are not compitable with windows 7
    *. May be some hardware of computerhas been broken and which causes sending wrong IRQ interruption to CPU

    Hi friend,

    I think you will need to perform Clean Boot mode which might solve CPU issue when it's idle. Below is the process for the same:

    A. Goto the Start Button, then you will need to type "MSCONFIG" in the box of Search and then hit enter.

    B. Select tab of Services then select "Hide All Microsoft Services" option and make disable it.

    C. Then goto tab of Startup then choose disable All option.

    D. Again restart your system and let see if your problem is solved or not.
