Issue of the Virtual Memory in Windows 7

    Hi,

I am using windows 7 build 7100 on my PC. I need your help to solve the problem of the virtual memory. The thing is that whenever I restart my PC, I get the message box about the performance option. The message is telling me to to set the setting of the virtual memory, but the problem is that they doesn't hold it and it resetting onto no paging of the file.

What should I have to do to overcome this problem?

    I will appreciate your help.

    Hi friend,

To overcome this type of issue of the virtual memory you will have to run the command from "cmd"prompt which is elevated.

To do this process, over elevated "cmd" prompt, select the start button, then type "cmd.exe" and after this right-click on the CMD.exe forn the list. Then select Run as Administrator.

After this please give respond to the elevation prompt. After this process type in the command, and hit enter. The command will indicate the completion of this successfully i.e "ChangeServiceConfig Success (SC)" .

    Please try this process.

    Hi,

I recommend you to do below things to sort out problem of the virtual memory:

    1. First try to execute beow command over elevated CMD prompt

    "sc config afs start= DISABLED"

    2. While using this commamd makue sure that there is no space before "=" ,but there is space after it

    3. Then finally reboot your machine.

    4. When you next time login, you will need to retry the Virtual Memory configuration.

    5. Suppose you are unable to boot your machine option of "the Start up Repair to recover", OR you can try also "last known good configuration" option.

I hope it will solve your problem.

    Hi friend,

I think "elevated CMD prompt" will definitely help you in solving this issue of VM.You will need to execute different type of the command .

I don't know exactly which commands are used in this process,But when you will get "ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS" message, that mean your problem is solved.

Other than this I can't help you in your problem of Virtual memory.
