ATL.DLL Cannot Be Found

Hi,

I have made a new user account windows xp pc, and while adding the printer I get a dialog box says t can't find "ATL.DLL" please re-install. I have scan my system for adware and spyware as already I have antivirus installed on my system. Why system cannot Be Found ATL.DLL ???

To resolve this issue, Go to the folder C:\I386 and extended the ATI.dl_ file in c:\windows\system32. To expand the file into DOS mode and in the c:\I386. Expand.exe ATL.DL_ c:\windows\system32. Then go to Start, Run, and do a ATL.DLL RegSvr32.exe and press ENTER. That should solve the problem as I see for now ...

The problem is that the ATL.DLL file is deleted from your computer system. The file was initially created in c: \windows\system32. Because of this the system restore and everything else depends on the windows will not work. Or else try repairing windows using xp repair disk.

To resolve problem regarding ATL.DLL, follow these steps:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
3. Under System Variables double-click the PATH environment variable.
4. Type:
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM
Note If other system variables appear, do not remove them.
5. Click OK, and then click OK.
