Win 7 Enterprise Activation - MAK or KMS?

I am trying to setup KMS for windows 7 Enterprise, i know Key Management Service (KMS) and Multiple Activation Key (MAK) are used for activating windows 7 and windows 2008 but i am getting activation error - 0xc004f038. Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

You should be able to generate MAK keys through the volume licensing website. These are the keys you need to use if you're not using KMS. You cannot enter a license key during installation when installing Windows 7 Enterprise. You can see how much time is left before activation is required in the system properties (Start > right click Computer > Properties).

This issue may occur if the client computer count on the KMS host is not large enough. A minimum of 25 computers must be in the KMS pool. WorkaroundTo work around this issue, you must add more computers to the KMS pool so that the KMS clients can be activated. To determine how many computers are in the KMS pool on the KMS host, run the following command at a command prompt: Slmgr.vbs -dli.

KMS activation works with minimal administrative intervention,MAK stands for Multiple Activation Key. This is a alphanumeric key that must be obtained from your software coordinator. Each MAK key can activate a specific number of computers. Once the key is entered, the computer contacts Microsoft's activation server and the pool of activations assigned to the key is depleted.A MAK key can be installed on a reference image of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 to make all installations from that image use MAK activation instead of the default KMS activation.
