Cannot install XP OS on the hard disk

The system is crashed,while on booting it shows the following message
C:/window/system/ " system file corrupt...insert the setup CD-ROM and Press 'r' on the start screen to repair. After inserting the CD, the same message is still appearing. Now after unplugging the hard drive and connecting it to the other computer, a new message is appearing which says NDLTR Missing!
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart... Can anyone help me out of this... please

If the disc is properly formatted then , I would suggest you getting a Data Life Guard Diagnostics from WD support website, then burn the image to CD-R(W) and after burning, boot from that disc. Then wipe the Hard Disk Drive entirely.

You should then be able to reinstall Windows.

To do the installation properly, You need to perform the following steps:-

1) You can boot from the windows CD and repair an installation without wiping it.
2) If it still has issues with the missing ntldr ... Then I would suggest that you use the windows CD and repair the MBR.
3) Pull the Hard Disk Drive out & edit the boot.ini to look for windows on the correct partition.

Assuming you ripped the Hard Disk Drive out & wiped windows ....

You set the partition that winxp is installed/will be installed on as the ACTIVE partition, then install windows from the CD.

The Solution to the Windows XP installation problem is listed below:-

Create an NTLDR boot disk:-

• Get a blank floppy disk
• download fixntldr.exe file from here
• Run the fixntldr.exe file by double clicking it
• Click OK to overwrite the blank floppy disc in the working computer
• Use floppy disk to boot the broken computer
