Don't you find the list of active programs in task manager? its in process tab. In Task Manager , click the Processes tab to see a list of running processes and measures of their performance. The Task Manager process table includes all processes that run in their own address space, including all applications and system services.
You can access services panel right from the command prompt by using a simple command line, its called the Net utility. In command prompt, you can use this utility to start, stop, pause and continue services. But most people don’t realize is that you can also use this to display a list of services that are currently running in your windows.
Syntax:
net start

You can also use Spybot Search and Destroy , which lets you view the currently running process list, displaying currently-running executables and more.
- Click on "Mode", select "Advanced Mode".
- Now select "Tools" in the left pane.
- Click on "Process List" in the right pane.
- To copy the list of running processes to the clipboard for later review, right-click any process and choose "Copy to clipboard".
