Boot screen freezes on the Packard Bell logo

Good evening guys, I have a small problem when starting my Packard Bell EasyNote PC : The screen is freezes on the Packard Bell logo, the little blue bar loading at the bottom of the screen begins to fill and then hangs, waiting and after 5 minutes the computer finally starts with Windows Vista and this happens every time i starts pc . This problem appeared a few days ago. Thank you in advance for help me out of trouble.

Have you tried system restore to prior date when it was working fine? Press F8 at startup to bring the menu for system restore, also you can try to boot with last good known configuration. you can boot off the installation dvd, and choose the “Repair your computer” option, choose System Restore from the System Recovery dialog. you will see a list of restore points that you can choose from.

Is this the same problem if you start in Safe Mode ?

Have you tried a repair of Vista? You can try following options:

• First uninstall all recently installed Programs
• Do the Virus/Spyware (AVG/Spybot) Scans of full system.
• Driver Rollbacks of all recently installed drivers.
• System Restore Points , try system restore of date when system was working fine.
• 'Chkdsk /r' , will scan disk for errors.
• Defrag/Cache Clean (Auslogics/CCleaner) , perform defragmentation on all hard disk partitions.

Which antivirus or security program you are using? Perform all the following actions:

• Download Norton Security Scan , its free. Perform a free virus scan.
  
• Also to make your pc free from spywares Download Ad-Aware
  
• And it can be because of some unsigned drivers, see this help Verify Install an unsigned driver In Windows Vista
  
• Perform a DISK CLEANUP as Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Cleanup.
  
• Also do the defrag of your hard disk partitions.
