To restart X server use the following command : Code: - killall -TERM Xsgi - hold down the left-Control, left-Shift, F12 and keypad slash keys - /usr/gfx/stopgfx; /usr/gfx/startgfx - reboot |

CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE should do the trick or You can logout, and log back in, should do it, as it should drop you to GDM and restart X11 in the process - other option would be to reboot entirely. |
