Admin account restricted in Windows 7

I recently decided to try out Windows 7 (for work) and so I install the OS (on a virtual machine running Debian).

Once installed I try to load the hive "default user" to change settings for new users (what is done to all our XP systems). And there, open up the hidden files and system files, I realize that as an administrator I do not have access to "documents and settings" (and other stuff besides).

I tried to change the permissions for the folder but nothing doing. So I pause a question (not existential but not far) we're not really a director of the machine? I do not understand the principle here.

To be "full administrator", you must disable the account control in uac. Going in panel config account and protect users, user account, then select the specific account, then change the settings of the control account, and select never tell. Restart the machine and is theoretically more worries

Re: Admin account restricted in Windows 7

Besides the launch of inadvertent malware. Personally, I am one of the few users who find that UAC is a very good thing. Do not have those pesky users administrators complete their machine.

There is no reason why you do not have access, UAC enabled!
Access rights are simple:
MACHINE / Users = read
MACHINE / Administrators = full rights
SYSTEM = All rights
Everyone = Read

But changing the content, causes a UAC warning (the little shield icon appears next to options).

What surprises me most is that you speak of "Documents & Settings" which existed for Vista.
C:\Users\xxxxx\
Then, Documents, ... AppData (hidden) with Local, Roaming and LocalLow ...
The most interesting is the C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore or are stored all files that these programs pre-Windows NT write / modify the directory C:\Program Files

Then not continue button (I know what it is but there is one button closes the box and the rest ...)

For the admin account, and although I am a computer technician so I know what that means yes and we need proof, after our users have no admin account it goes without saying.

If the documents and settings are, in fact I found by turning on hidden files and folders of operating systems. For vista I do not know to ignore this system ...

If this is really a limitation of these rights it is famous pose major concern ... for us to load the default user hive is very important (among others ...)
